Generation was formed 21 years ago by two of the current members. The group has a combined total of 54 years in the music business. They are capable of delivering authentic performances ranging from Rock-N-Roll Oldies to Contemporary Country to Gospel music offering audiences from all Generations a variety of music.
Generation strives to perform all music in its original format and style. Most performances are so true to the original that it's not uncommon to be asked, "Are you guys the group that originally recorded that song?" Although the group has a lead singer by title, each member sings solos within their repertoire frequently.
Generation is frequently used for recording projects locally and nationally on major labels such as Curb Records, Nashville. The group has recorded 4 albums together and have done back-up vocals on scores of other artist's albums. The group has a platinum album with Le Ann Rimes, and a gold album with Steve Holy for those back-up vocals. The group has a great time together whether they are on or off the stage, and it definitely shows!

John has been a member of Generation for the past 20 years. He sang with the Honors Choir in high school and was a perfect fit for the vocal group, Generation. John has a gold and platinum album along with the rest of the group for his back up vocals. He does lead vocals along with
other members of the group when called on. He performed for 6 years on the Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington, TX. He has done events such as the Peach Festival in Weatherford, Silver Spur Gala in Arlington, Carnival and Celebrity Cruise Lines, and local country clubs. John is married to Mitzi Sharp and they have a son, Austin.

John is married with 2 children. He has had 2 recording contracts, one with Christian World in Oklahoma City, and one with Calvary Records in Nashville, TN. John has 7 albums to his credit and thousands of hours in the recording studio doing back-up vocals on albums for artists such as Le Ann Rimes and Steve Holy of Curb Records. He has a platinum and gold album for the same. John has appeared on local and national television, such as The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. John was a producer and performer on the television series called "Rhythms of the Road" which can still be viewed on YouTube.
Chris Wann

Chris performed in choirs and ensembles throughout high school, college, and grad school. He has performed on various stages singing, conducting choirs, orchestras, and handbells both in the U.S. and abroad. Chris joined Generation in 1995 after moving to Texas from Tennessee. He has served as a Worship Pastor for 23 years. Eighteen of those years have been at his current church in North Texas. Chris enjoys playing acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, keys, and drums. However, Chris' greatest joy is being with his wife, Traci, and their three children Jackson, Lily Grace, and Cade.
David joined Generation in 1993 while finishing his music degree at Dallas Baptist University. He began singing with WORD Records in the early 90's as a demo artist and has enjoyed performing as a backup vocalist for numerous artists over the past 25 years. An avid supporter of local music and community theatr, David has performed in numerous musicals, operas, and church productions in the DFW area. When he's not performing, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Stephanie (an accomplished singer/songwriter) and their sons Caleb and Coleson.
